Kurt Kirchmeier comes from a large family of two brothers and five sisters and currently resides in Saskatoon, SK with his lovely wife and a moonstruck cat.

Although primarily a fiction writer, he occasionally dabbles in poetry and digital art as well. His current labours of love are a pair of novels aimed at younger readers, one a post-apocalyptic middle grade fantasy, the other a young adult contemporary fantasy.

Some of Kurt’s favorite writers are Ray Bradbury, Charles De Lint, Kate Dicamillo, Guy Gavriel Kay, Robert McCammon, Scott Westerfeld, and Robert Charles Wilson.

When he isn’t writing or working on artwork, Kurt enjoys photography, reading, playing poker, and hanging out in his local pool hall. He’s also been part of the editorial team at Flash Me Magazine since November, 2008.
